The museum now has a local history room, mostly a reference book library, some difficult to access elsewhere eg Victoria County Guides.Apart from summer holidays when the cafe sometimes ran out of food, the cafe is a welcome peaceful oasis in a very urban quarter. As per previous reviewers, the museum building is excellent. Again, this has an amazingly rural setting, yet can be accessed off the H9/H10 bus route.

Great local museum, very child friendly, interesting things about the local area. Wonderful that it's free. Also, nice cafe.

Free entry, lovely restored old buildings and local history covering many years. A good place to spend an hour or two. There is a cafe as well but didn't go in so can't comment on it.

Beautifully presented museum. The buildings are the star - old Manor House, with moat, barns and other buildings well restored. Contents tell history of Harrow area from neolithic to present, with emphasis on last 100 years. Cannot necessarily enter all buildings as large Barn may be hired out for events, and Granary may be in use for school visits. Nice new cafe also. Easy access and parking close by.

I visited this museum as a fan of Lord Byron. Although there were only a few things specifically about Byron's time at the school on display, it was great to get a sense of what school life would have been like for the pupils in the late-eighteenth and early-nineteenth centuries. It covers a lot of ground in such a small space, and the lady who was operating the gift shop was very friendly and helpful! I must make a point of visiting again at some point soon.
